Fourth of July Fireworks

Presented by City of Stillwater at Lowell Park – Downtown Stillwater Riverfront Gazebo

July 4, 2017

 Celebrate independence day in an all-American historic river town! The City of Stillwater puts on a huge fireworks display over the St. Croix River offering views from anywhere downtown. New this year will also be entertainment of live bands in the park and civil war cannons. Make a weekend out of it and stay overnight! During the day…shop Main Street, take a cruise on the river, ride the historic Trolley, eat ice cream or relax in one of our many parks. Stillwater has great viewing sites for the fireworks. Try Pioneer Park, or settle in while enjoying food and beverages on one of our many outdoor dining decks.

Special reserved seating will be available for Veterans in the Pedestrian Plaza at Lowell Park.

2017 SCHEDULE:

Music:

Two bands to play in the open-air amphitheater area of Lowell Park:

6:15  – 7:30 PM – Jillian Rae / Iron Range roots, fiddle player, rock & roll, country-western

8:15 – 9:45 PM – Jorgensen Tagg / Americana Soul (blues, jazz, rock)

Orchestra at Pioneer Park:

7:00 – 9:00 PM – St. Croix Jazz Orchestra concert in the bandshell

Cannons:

Battery I of the 1st US Artillery (Jim Coughlin) will set up 5 civil war era muzzle loading cannons on Mulberry Point

3:00 – 4:00 PM – set up time, then Q&A and demos for the public,

Will fire during the fireworks and playing of 1812 Overture.

Fireworks:

Begin at dusk, approximately 10:00 PM.

Fireworks simulcast on KLBB Radio,  AM 1220
